Home Valuation Code of Conduct
goes into effect in GA and all states May 2009
Atlanta, GA mortgage lenders and real estate appraisers are going to have to adhere to different guidelines in the near future due to the Home Valuation Code of Conduct. "The Code" was developed to change the way mortgage lenders in GA and the rest of the country come up with appraised values for mortgage loans. The code is not expected to affect FHA or VA loans at this time although there are a lot of opinions about whether it is a good or bad idea. Here is a link to the code:
